Hot, Sexy, Money.

Today we are going to talk about the most controversial subject in the world.  Wait...?...what is that?  Duh.  It’s hot, sexy, MONEY!  Why would I say that this is the most controversial subject in the world?  Because this is the very basis over which all of our wars are being fought.  Money is also the leading cause of stress and anxiety, which eventually shut down the immune system and rack your body with all kinds of sickness and disease.  All for what?  Some theoretical pieces of paper issued by a “bank” that requires your trust that the currency issued actually has any worth.   I’m not trying to start a “down with the system” rebellion.  In fact to start a rebellion would be to acknowledge that I wasn’t free and there was something to fight against, thus if I am fighting, I’m acknowledging that something other than God himself is ruling over me.  Money=War.  Bottom line.  For a little more grounding on how the monetary system works, I would suggest perusing a couple of articles I wrote in the past.  Although reading these is not essential to understanding what I want to focus on today, I do think they will bless you in demonstrating further how absolutely free you are from debt.  http://beardsloveandhappiness.blogspot.com/2012/11/war-and-mans-honour.html  http://beardsloveandhappiness.blogspot.com/2012/11/normal-0-false-false-false-en-gb-x-none.html
I’m usually not one to promote my own work.  But in the context of what I’m writing about, and a lot of what readers have said they’re interested in and have more questions about, I feel these three articles will really bless you and give you some grounding into doing your own research, and also, for the sake of this post and future posts, make it to where I don’t have to constantly re-explain things.
Before I say anything more about money, I want to make one blanket statement, and I’m probably going to repeat it several times throughout the article because I really want this to sink in:  THE TRUE VALUE AND WEALTH OF ALL THINGS HAS ALWAYS BEEN PEOPLE THEMSELVES.
So if true value and worth is and always has been in the people, the true reward is people, then why all of the struggle for $?  Because there is still an overwhelming sin-consciousness that pervades the operation of the world system that does not align with the principles of The Kingdom of God.  In this sense, we see that there are two operative realms at work and thus two different sets of laws.  Yes, there are laws in the Kingdom!  This is the law of perfect liberty that James urges us to stare into in order to see the face of our birth (James 1:23-25).  Kingdom laws and principles are always based upon right relationship and the unequivocal, eternal fact that you are free!  The laws of the world are still drenched in sin consciousness and an idea of separation.  In this realm, all aren’t free, thus debts are owed and must be paid in order to balance out accounts.  This is why you get calls from creditors, or arrested by the police, or why a nation with a vast army will invade and occupy another country.  All of the world system is based on the idea that something is owed to someone else.  This can be traced all the way back to the Garden of Eden and the fall of man.  Once man became aware of a distance or an interruption in his union with God, he now, through the work of his own hands, had to try to do something to cover up or atone for the distance.   This is why it is so imperative and multilayered when Jesus says, “who the Son sets free is free indeed,” in John 8:36.  He is not merely stating that we are free (which is a big deal, btw) but he is also revealing a very important aspect of the operation of the kingdom.  The realm from whence you were born, your point of origin in the bosom of the Father, is a place whose very foundation is freedom.  This is in stark contrast to the operation of the world system.  Our duty as sons and daughters of the king is to understand the laws and mandates of Heaven, and execute these on the earth.
To open this up a bit, I would like to define some terms.   When I say the world or the world system, I’m not talking about the earth.  What I’m referring to is the ego, the intellect, or anything that forms its foundation upon a temporary reality.  It is essential to begin getting revelation on this in order for the Holy Spirit to disciple your mind.  In Galatians 5:17-22, Paul addresses this very concept, and often it is misapplied among the body of Christ.  Paul relates that the flesh wars against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh.  The flesh here is not referring to the physical body, but instead refers to a realm of temporary existence where things have an expiration date.  Paul is illuminating how this mindset automatically sets itself against an eternal mindset and how the two contradict one another.  The Spirit, on the other hand, is eternal and will repeatedly offend the fleshly mentality until the flesh/the world/the intellect/the temporary mindset is completely and consciously subject to The Spirit, which proceeds straight from the throne room of heaven.  In this realm there are different laws and principles at work, most of which contradict what the world tells the darkened mind is “common sense.”
So how does this apply to money?  $$$$$$$  Simple.  There is no money in the Kingdom of Heaven.  If this is our point of origin, our place of birth, and there is no money, then why are we worrying about money?  Remember:  THE TRUE VALUE AND WEALTH OF ALL THINGS HAS ALWAYS BEEN PEOPLE THEMSELVES.   Fun fact about our current monetary system, any country that is plugged into the Federal Reserve banks, being that there is no collateral to back up the “money” the banks are printing, these countries have literally pledged their people as the collateral, or the substance that gives the money any value.  Think about that the next time you get a paycheck.  Those numbers that get funnelled into your account are actually guaranteed secured and given every ounce of their value by you.  It’s quite ironic is it not?  That even in a system that equates value by theoretical numbers, formulas and derivatives, all spinning in a cycle of debt-consciousness, even by the world system’s own admission, you are ultimately the one that holds all the power and creates all the value.  In a word, the system cannot operate or function without you, period.  Pardon my Spanish, but I think this is powerful stuff.
From a ministerial point of view then, what is all the fuss about money?   If there is no money in the kingdom, then why are we always asking for offerings, etc. etc.?  Simply put, the entire world has not stepped into agreement with the laws of the kingdom.  For many of us, we grew up in the generation of televangelism, where many rather corrupt spiritual leaders lived in opulence while their followers and the communities around them were struggling to make ends meet.  While much of this has been used as propaganda to make Christian culture appear as a bunch of money-grubbing super right wing white collar bigots, those of us who know better still get suspicious when a preacher or evangelist asks for money.  What is the big deal with taking up an offering, and why so often do we hesitate to throw in a few dollars?  After all, the money isn’t “real”, right?  So what gives?  If we are supposed to be the most generous and care-free people on the planet, why, the second someone asks for a few bucks (whether they need it or not) do we shut down and react like they’re trying to take something from us?
Poverty is a mindset and has absolutely diddly squat to do with how much is in your bank account.
We know that according to the new covenant it is no longer required for us to tithe.  Every rule and regulation that had Israel and consequently the rest of mankind at odds with God has been erased (Col. 2:14).  You see, as per the Jewish requirement to tithe (10% of annual income roughly), God secured, through a regulation, provision for generation upon generation throughout the nation of Israel.  Even today more than 80% of all people that are employed by the world bank system are of Jewish decent.  If you study the history out, this is a direct result of the tithing system set in place long ago in the days of Moses.  In the new covenant, our requirement to tithe has been abolished.  You don’t have to give one red cent to any minister or church or other person if you don’t want to.  But the freedom, the absolute sloppy drunken freedom is that now you GET to give everything away without a requirement or penalty.  Unfortunately, because of corruption among the body sovereign, many who name themselves among the body of Christ have trouble with the question of money.  How much do I give?  Do I give at all?  In the past two years, in my own experience, the amount at which the general population of Christians is sowing financially has completely dropped off.  I find it hard to grant that the body of Christ as a whole has gained real wisdom in handling both finances and their freedom (see Galatians 5:13), when more and more ministers, evangelists and churches as are struggling financially.  As Paul named it in I Corinthians, "Don't muzzle the ox."  If these guys are out there in the fields, treading the grain, give them a little something to eat.  Certainly, many large ministries, and the way ministry has been typically perceived, generally carries a lot of dead financial burdens.  Personally, I think doing more home meetings, or meeting in public places are great venues that lower the massive overhead costs of renting or owning a ginormous building.  But 20 years ago, financing the church wasn’t a problem.  What happened?  Or what is happening?  Simply put, the body isn’t putting their money where their mouth is.  Bottom Line.  IF THERE IS A NEED TO BE MET AND YOU HAVE THE MEANS TO MEET THAT NEED, THEN MEET THE NEED!  It’s simple.  You are supporting your own body.  Yet many of us will go to meetings, or be truly blessed by someone who professes to be a full-time evangelist and we won’t even throw a dollar their direction.  In the meantime, we go to the store, buy a t-shirt and pay 8.25% sales tax on the item, which in reality, the sales tax we have just willingly paid, was a tithe into the world banking system!  Why will we shun the minister with our “freedom” and say, “I don’t have to give you money, bro.  I’m not under the law,” but yet submit ourselves willingly to tithing into a different kingdom?  I’m not throwing punches at any one group in particular here.  Think if we matched a sales tax percentage towards a charitable donation every time we heard a good word from somebody.   At this point, I’m probably ranting, but my desire is for the Body of Christ to wake up and rule the financial world like they were meant to, and turn this debt-based world system on its head and into a free economy representative of the kingdom of heaven.
My wife and I like to play a fun game we call “sowing against our offense.”  So let’s say we’re at a meeting and a speaker gives an absolutely horrendous word.  He misquotes scripture, he is generally unpleasant, and every five minutes he reminds the audience to make sure and make their checks out to XXX.  Even though this whole thing is terrible and we haven’t felt truly blessed by what the speaker has said, we are still going to write him a fat check.  Why?  It’s not that we necessarily agree with anything he said, that’s not what our $ is sowing into.  Instead, we’re choosing to sow into who that man is as a person.  Since we may not be able to spend a lot of time with the speaker and get to know him on a more personal level, our money is simply an instrument or tool used to communicate how valuable when think that man is.  Another fun way you can sow against your offense is if you’re at a restaurant and your waiter is terrible, I mean absolutely awful, instead of stiffing him or her, leave them a $25, $50 or $100 tip.  Once again, this communicates that the person is valuable apart from their deeds.  It’s funny, the more and more my wife and I adopt this mentality and step into this revelation, the more and more money seems to come and go...and the less we seem to care about it.
Some fun testimony from the past year.  So I’ve been getting all of our tax documents together, getting our returns ready to file.  In looking at the books, my wife and I have collectively given away more money than we made during 2012.  I’m not quite sure how this is possible, being that we have bills to pay and whatnot, but the math doesn’t lie.  The only thing I can say to that is it must be kingdom logic in action.
So the next time you see that dirty man by the over pass holding up a cardboard sign, don’t feel so closed off to his request.  Who cares if he spends the $ you give him on crack or cigarettes or booze?  You’re investing in his life, his being, not his deeds.
Let’s rethink and let the eyes of love reform our methods of understanding value.

But...I Want to Get Married!

The letter for today kids is “R”.  “R” is for relationships.  Bearing that this whole ride of a thing called life has its entire foundation born out of relationship, I think that maybe, just maybe, relationship(s) is(are) important.  It may sound like I’m stating the obvious, but increasingly in this modern world where our transmitting utilities of technology serve as stand-ins and understudies for direct communication with one another, it can be very easy to get jaded, familiar, or lose sight of the absolute love we have for one another.
Modernity has taught us that the entire world is at the tip of our fingers.  Communication happens instantly, and the expectation of response from the other should occur almost as instantly.  Really, if we break it down we have always had the entire world at our fingers and communication has always happened instantly, but in the modern world our perception of what this means has changed.  In the expectation of response, we have been trained that simply by pushing a button, making a short walk to the store or punching in some numbers on a computer keyboard, we can have exactly what we want in only a minute or two.  In this context, it’s not too hard to see why faith, hope, trust and intuition have taken a back seat as legitimate modes of operation.  In some situations, these very things which have been treasured throughout the ages, are now deemed foolish.  I’m not here to talk bad about technology or modern society.  Technology is a wonderful tool that can be used for many wonderful enterprises.  Society too, in and of itself, is a glorious structure of human ingenuity.  My point is simply, whether it be in the name of societal rules or technology, neither can be used as a substitute for the real thing, which are relationships with real people.   (The true building of society is founded upon the principles of the Kingdom of God, which is family...but that’s another, separate, lengthy discussion.)
Within the scope of relationships there are a variety:  Romantic, friendly, familial, business, etc, etc.  I think that we can all agree that any legitimate fruit or progress in any one of these “sections” only comes from the relationship forged in that area.  For example if out of left field, I just query George Lucas about my idea for a glory based science fiction movie series, he may love the idea, but since he doesn’t know much about me, he doesn’t have anything to base the quality of my supposed work upon, much less my integrity.  Even more important than that, on my end, in such an interaction I have failed to engage him as a real person with thoughts and feelings and I have  come to him because of his name in an attempt for him to use his influence to support my vision.  Point being, I have not considered who he IS in this interaction, I have only considered what he HAS and WHAT HE CAN DO FOR ME.  Thus I have relegated him only to his past performance and the weight that I think his name would carry to benefit my own desires.   In this case, whether or not Mr. Lucas accepts my proposal and my films make tons of $, my own benefit was my only concern, and thus no real relationship has been formed.  I have fit a person into my idea of who I think they are and what I think they can do for me and have proceeded in a course of action with that as my foundation.
Unfortunately, the world system has attempted to disciple us into engaging “relationships” the same way.  For those of you who are in the college or university system now or have been in the last ten years, you are more than aware of the shift that has occurred, moving from enjoying your course of study, and instead the increased emphasis being placed upon “networking.”  Once again, there’s nothing wrong with “knowing” a bunch of people and having a large list of contacts.  In fact, about half of the people I’m “friends” with on various social-networking sites I have never actually met in person.  Having a wide range of people to contact and engage is not necessarily a bad thing!  The point is the manner in which we are increasingly being bombarded with to engage, which is to say, “I need to network and get your information because maybe you can do something for me, or you have something I want.”  Herein lies the problem.  Don’t worry, it’s easily remedied.  Seeing through the eyes of love nips this thing in the bud pronto.
In my ministerial capacity, and given the course of my life over the past year, I’m feeling lead to muse upon and encourage those of you who are “looking for love” in the romantic sense.  For those of you who may be reading who don’t know me that well, or how my wife and I came to get married, I will just tell you this:  My wife and I never dated, we didn’t have a long engagement period, we’d only met each other a year earlier, and by met, I mean we talked to each other for like two and half minutes once in passing and neither of us had “real” jobs.   And now here we are, married and indescribably happy, yet we did none of the traditional stuff that society says we needed to do.  What is the common denominator?  Well, we both put it all on God and told him if either one of us was to get married, then he was going to have to work out the details.  Let me tell you, once I finally made this confession to the Lord, I felt absolutely liberated.  For the first time in my life, I was actually able to consistently view women as the beautiful creations they are rather than, the voice that normally would rise up in my head and whisper, “You could date that one.  No, don’t date that one, but she would be fun for a one night stand.  Her, that other one, she’s marriage material.”  I was no longer bound by trying to find a definition or a context by which to frame any woman I met.
Trust me guys, I’ve been there.  You’re at Church or a meeting, or a house gathering, or a conference, and you finally meet that rare jewel who is physically attractive in a way that you like, she’s sociable and radiant, and even better she’s a Christian and shares your same beliefs!  Oh man!  This must be my future wife!...And all of this runs through your head within five minutes of meeting her.  I’m not saying that God can’t arrange a meeting like this.  Stranger things have happened.  What I’m addressing is that, more often than not, guys, this train of thought is your own head and ego trying to flex its muscles and get you rattled.
But I have this burning desire to get married...to be intimately known by another person in a way that no one can know me.  Yes, you do.  The entire story of the Gospel is framed around the metaphor and image of a marriage.  A bride and groom coming together at the fullness of time.  Let me reiterate...THE FULLNESS OF TIME.
The mystery of the Gospel is that God was always desiring and dreaming of redemption for mankind.  In this sense, let’s look at mankind as the bride.  Let’s consider God as humanity’s original blueprint, identity and point of origin, as a groom.  God, throughout the course of history has been constantly demonstrating to mankind, the groom demonstrating to the bride, that union, that perfect innocence and vulnerability is what she/humanity has been seeking.  But instead mankind has been listening to other “lovers”, heeding those voices and thus acting accordingly.  The book of Hosea offers a great picture of God’s relationship to man.  As God asks Hosea to marry a prostitute and let her continue to proceed in her line of work all the while remaining married and devoted to her.  In Song of Solomon, the bride, in search of her beloved, goes and seeks him out in city where she is broken by the law and talked down to by others offering their version of momentary “love”.  She then encourages us, “I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, by the gazelles or the does of the field, that you not stir up or awaken love until it pleases.”  The Bride here speaks in retrospect with fondness and warning, that there is a fullness of time that ripens and blossoms into right relationship.  The offer of marriage and the offer of complete innocence in the arms of the beloved has always been there.  But it is mankind/the bride’s choice to receive the embrace or not.
Surely, the groom/God could strong arm his way in, hold the bride down and force her into submission.  But that is not His heart.  This would be representative only of domination, the action of an insecure and manipulative man who has not and thus is afraid his promise will be taken away from him.  The true groom/God, awaits the awakening of His beloved, and thus, the beloved, fully awakened in the fullness of time, willingly submits herself to the love that has always been there.
But I want to get married!!!!  Of course you do, it is a longing and desire that God has placed within you that mirrors his love for mankind to be fully awakened to their union with Him.  But how does the father roll?  He doesn’t force the issue because He is so confident in who He is and who His beloved is that He knows she will awaken to love when the time is right.  A marriage covenant with your spouse will continually shift your paradigm to align you more and more with how the God views humanity and their relationship one to another.  But it isn’t until you let go of your own understanding in this area of your life and give the Holy Spirit license to work on your behalf that you will see the fruit of your desires and longing.  If you want and desire a spouse, God already knows about it.  Rely solely on Him and understand that it is only him that can satisfy your longings.  Any covenant or relationship entered into from the perspective that this person can “help me fix my problems or can give me what I truly desire” is one that pulls that person’s identity outside of the jurisdiction of the kingdom and makes them an object for your use.
Guess what?  That person is not going to be able to bear the weight, they are not going to be able to “fix” whatever you think is wrong with you and they are not going to be able to fill the void and longing you feel in your heart.  Only the God can do that.  It is unfair to the other person and to yourself to place such an expectation upon a relationship.  If the relationship you seek or you are in is not based upon a mutual enjoyment of one another, then you probably need to reconsider your position.  Seriously.  My dad gave me the best piece of advice regarding this subject once, he said, “If you have to work that hard, then it probably ain’t workin’”.
It’s hard though.  I know.  You talk to God about what you want in a mate.  You think you’re ready.  Then you begin looking everywhere you go.  Oh!  Is she the one?  Oh!  I know, he’s the one!  And maybe you start to proceed in that manner, getting stuck in perceiving every member of the opposite sex you find attractive and that meets your list of criteria, and lumping them into the probable future-husband or future-wife category.  I’ve been there.  This mental process will destroy your relationships with people and wrack your heart with pain and confusion.  Why?  Because you have failed to see the object of your desired affection as a true child of God.   Instead they have become an object or something to fill in that empty place in your heart.  Once again, no person can fill that except for God himself!  God has someone so completely perfect for you that it will absolutely demolish any list of criteria you may have made.
So guys...slow your roll.  Know who you are, and take an example from your Father.  How does God handle the situation with His beloved?  He waits.  He empowers her and speaks to her true identity.  He’s not pushy.  He doesn’t demand anything.  He gives her enough space to allow her the freedom to choose and realize her love for Him.  So now you see that girl you think God has picked out for you?  Then give it some space to breathe and develop, and when the time is right, you and her will both absolutely know.  Do yourself a favour guys, empower her by giving her the time and the space to choose you.  If it’s going to happen, you are not going to have to convince her of anything, it will just happen!   A woman in her truest sense is not interested in a man who is constantly trying to prove that he is good enough for her.  The true man knows that he already is good enough.  Wives are not babysitters, and although a woman’s nurturing instincts will kick in from time to time, if she is only there to give you a sense of validation, then how possibly are you going to empower her in her dreams and vision?  Guys, if you can’t rule over yourself and be responsible in that area in your life, why would you think that you are ready to lead and rule over a household?
And ladies , be patient.  Eventually boys wake up and become men.  You have to give the boy space to figure out who he is and what he wants.  Honor your heart by not entertaining all of the flattering voices that may be thrown your way.  As my wife always says, and it’s great advice (she’s much smarter than me), “honor and guard the heart of your spouse in your actions before you meet him.”  In this posture you will not sow emotions in to potential relationships only to be let down.  Sometimes the consequences of this run much deeper than you may initially realize.  A heart that is in constant recovery is more easily swayed into hireling relationships that really aren’t worth your time.  You want a man not a boy.  You want the shepherd of the flock, not the hired hand.  You want to be loved, not simply the to be the object of someone’s love.  There’s a big difference.
All in all, relationships are not as complicated as we have been led to believe!  They are simple.  See through the Father’s eyes and all is joy and every relationship is brought into right ripeness at the fullness of time, whether it be a lasting brotherhood, sisterhood, friendship, community enterprise, marriage or starting a family.  You are loved endlessly and do not have to have a thing figured out on your own!

Authority and The 2nd Amendment

Given the rather recent barrage of public shootings (2 that have been widely publicized within the last month), I feel the wind blowing me to muse a bit upon the 2nd Amendment.  Do not get me wrong.  I’m not here to make light of any situation, nor the deaths that resulted.  Indeed any time death is involved there is tragedy, for in my view, if death is even allowed to enter the spectrum, we are dealing in a realm for which we were not designed.  Anytime we are dealing with death, inevitably we have been duped into negotiating with an enemy that has already been defeated.  Just as God does not negotiate with the devil, I myself do not find it wise or prudent to negotiate with someone’s false identity.  What do I mean by this?  Simply put, whether it be Adam Lanza or the Holiday Fireman Shooter, or James Holmes, or Sirhan Sirhan, or Lee Harvey Oswald or Osama Bin Laden, or Adolf Hitler, I will not stand to agree that any of these people were pure evil.  I will not marvel at how they could’ve possibly done what they did, etc.  In doing so, we seem to miss the point.  That human life is at stake, and it is at stake because we have failed to see the value in that life.  Thus is the case with some of these more infamous individuals.  They were/are not “evil” men.  They were/are simply people who didn’t know who they truly were/are, and thus seeing no value in themselves, stopped seeing value in others.  I shudder to think how many times throughout the week we view others in a similar light.  Getting so caught up in the rigor and anxiety of modern living, that we reduce the glorious mystery of the people around us to mere annoyances that we just don’t have time for.  Sure, none of us may go on a killing spree.  But my point is that when we lose touch with the mystery and value of human life and life in general, we can very easily be swayed by seeds of bitterness that may cause us to commit some rather ignoble deeds.
Of course the media has parleyed its waves of anxious energy and attempted thought control upon the viewing public.  The viewers of course, in concert with the media’s reactionary controlled chaos have acted, well, in usual reactionary fashion.  My encouragement to you is this:  stand firm in who you are and stop reacting.  Take dominion over your thoughts, this is the realm of the soul and why the soul is so important.  If we allow anything to possess our thought life or distract us from what we really know about ourselves, then we have willingly allowed our creative energy to be stolen.  This is exactly what most media does, and sadly this is how many of us live our lives.  We react to situations, submit ourselves to the mercy of our circumstances, and act accordingly.  Thus many of us have been more discipled by the world system than we have by the Spirit of God (LIFE AND LOVE ITSELF) that dwells within us.  So of course, there is going to be a knee jerk reaction to something like the tragedy that occurred in Connecticut, or the holiday shooting in New York.  If more Sons of God claimed dominion, then such things would not happen.  In fact war and even death itself would become obsolete, only distant memories, and eventually no t even memories at all.
Controlled chaos is a term some of us might need to be more aware of.  This is exactly how media and government use tragedies such as the recent shooting to propagate fear among the masses and to create an atmosphere that readily subjects us to circumstance, thus making it easy for us to grant dominion to laws, rules, regulations, and governing authorities that have no business lording over us.  By promoting such a reactionary atmosphere, the air is charged with chatter that attempts to infiltrate the thoughts of mankind.   So with something like the shootings, we see many fear based reactions, the people in fear agree to putting a bandaid over the cancer and agree to relinquish 2nd Amendment rights.  Just in the past week, thousands of former gun owners in California WILLINGLY turned in all their firearms at government dispensaries for lousy $100-$200 cash credits.
The 2nd Amendment isn’t about owning guns.  I can hear all the hippies now saying if we got rid of guns then all these people wouldn’t die.  You do realize that the same Bill of Rights that guarantees your failed protests in freedom of speech, guarantees our rights to bear arms.  The 2nd Amendment was put into place in order for private citizens to protect themselves from a corrupt government, or to overthrow the government if necessary.    The 2nd Amendment is not about a bunch of craz-o’s plotting to take over the world--That’s what your N.W.O. Bankster-owned government is trying to do, the same government that poisons all the food, water and air, and you keep running to them asking for handouts and willingly putting yourself into bondage.  Point being, guns or no guns, the 2nd Amendment is part of ruling over yourself.  Responsible, honourable people, who know who they are, aren’t going to run out and go on killing sprees.  The issue is not going to be solved by adding more rules and regulations.  It is only solved when people know love.  People in love who know love and know their own value do not need a laundry list of do’s and don’ts.   In fact, removing such rules and regulations treats people as if they are noble and honourable, which does not assume guilt.  When people realize that they are not guilty and they are not refraining from something just to avoid punishment, they act accordingly.  It’s what we were taught when we were kids:  Respect others and they will respect you back.  Same concept.
The line of reasoning employed by the regime to attempt to repeal/remove the 2nd Amendment is this:  Since you people are too stupid to quit killing each other, we are going to take your guns away from you.  The danger is that this reasoning can be used to slay any of our rights.  The 4th Amendment would be done away with like this:  Since you’re too stupid to manage your own property or you can’t afford your own property, we will manage it for you.   Once one of them goes, the rest will be soon to follow.  This is what happened to Israel repeatedly in the Old Testament.  This is what happened in England, and why the founding fathers left and established/stole the united States.  This is what happened in Greece and Rome near the time of Christ.  This is the very thing that happened in Germany during the rise of the Nazi regime (which U.S. businesses funded and supported btw.)
Guns are there for our protection, but it’s not about protection it’s about trusting and respecting people, rather than treating them like malicious little kids who don’t deserve anything.   Personally, I don’t own a gun, and I really don’t plan on owning one.  The only time I would own a gun was if it were a means of providing food for my family, but then again, we’re mostly vegetarians so, killing big game for meat wouldn’t be much of an option anyway (only under extreme duress.)  But this is a willing choice I make.  It is not something I do because the ruling regime suggests that it’s bad for me to own a gun.  I grew up with guns.  I know how to shoot.  I have a healthy respect for firearms.  Guns do not scare me.  I do not own a gun because I do not need one.  I trust myself and God enough to provide for and protect my family.  That’s not to say that it’s bad or God isn’t with you if you own a gun.  That’s your choice and I commend you for it.  What I’m trying to emphasize is to make the choice that’s right for you and do it from a place of freedom, not from a place of fear or rebellion.  There are just as many people that tout their 2nd Amendment rights with a spirit of defiance, as there are people who are getting rid of their guns because they are afraid the FBI is going to raid their house.  Do what is right for you.  At the end of the day trust God as your protection.  Not the government.  And definitely not your guns.
Often, when I speak upon this subject, many people pose the question:  “Well, what am I supposed to do if robbers break into my house, or someone is pointing a gun at me ready to shoot?  If I don’t have a gun, I’ll get myself and my family killed.”  If a robber breaks into your house, then ask him what he wants and give him everything you have.  This is the gospel.  If someone threatens to kill you, realize how foolish that is.  No one can kill you, you are immortal.  Look him in the eye and tell him how beautiful he is.  In the past, this was something I knew in concept.  Over the course of the last few years, I have lived it out in some rather extreme circumstances.  There is one testimony I have that absolutely changed the way I saw mortality and the sovereign power of God, which firmly rooted in me a greater understanding of what it means that no one can take my life from me, but I can freely give it to all.  I believe when this gets firmly grounded in the human spirit, the need for any kind of weapon or self defence absolutely gets demolished by the sovereign power of God, His faith in you and your faith in Him.  Here is the testimony:
It was about 2:30 A.M.  I was living with my parents at the time after having just finished grad school.  In want of gainful employment, I took a job as a waiter/bartender at a country club near the town where my parents live.  This night, I was driving home from that job where we had been catering some late night banquet or wedding.  I had worked a double that day, which is 12 hours on my feet with virtually no break.  I was tired, my feet were a bit sore.  But I had been tipped well and I had a couple of days off to look forward to, and at that point in my life I had just become aware of my uninterrupted union with God and how I could feel and His presence everywhere and tap into the realities of Heaven any time I wanted to.
While driving, I noticed that I was turning down a road that I normally would not take.  I could still get home by going this way, but it would take about 10 minutes longer and it was notorious for having police trolling up and down this late at night.  Rather than turn around and head back to take my normal route, I understood that the Holy Ghost was taking me on an adventure.  So I asked the Lord, “What do you want me to do?”  I heard the Lord say, “Watch the road.”  So that’s what I did.  I noticed the streetlamps reflect a luminous brilliance off of the newly paved asphalt road.  I saw the cop car hidden in an inlet hard to see from the road, so I slowed down.  After I passed this little intersection, I saw absolutely nothing.  There were no other cars on the road.  No buildings.   Not even any wind.  Everything stopped.  At that point I wasn’t even sure if my car was moving.  In that eerie stillness, I could feel the air beginning to be charged with some palpable, kinetic energy.  The hair stood up on the back of my neck and I had goosebumps all over my body.  Just as I was about to ask the Lord what was going on, a car came speeding from behind me, jumped the median, and began driving down the wrong side of the road.
The voice of the Lord went from quiet to loud in a flash.  It wasn’t a frantic order, but more of an authoritative command.  “FOLLOW THAT CAR.”  It seemed a little strange, but for some reason I can’t explain, I was not afraid.  I knew the Lord was going to protect me.  So I began following although the car had already passed from sight.  I drove in the direction I thought I had seen the speeding car go, but as I drove, I heard the voice the Holy Ghost telling me which way to turn.  GO LEFT HERE.  KEEP GOING STRAIGHT.  TURN RIGHT.  RUN THE LIGHT.  RUN THE LIGHT, IT’S OKAY THE COPS CAN’T DO WHAT I NEED YOU TO DO TONIGHT.  So I followed the Holy Ghost’s directions.  I ended up in a different part of town, notably a “rougher part of town” and I saw the car that had sped past me pull into a gas station.  At the other end of the gas station a four-door truck had pulled into the parking lot, facing the other car.  I had no idea what was going on, but I knew I was supposed to be there.
So, three people walk out of the gas station.  Two girls and one guy, and I could tell by their tattoos and the colors they wore that all three were gang members and belonged to M.S.-13.  As they walked out of the station store five men from the car got out, three of them had guns.  At the same time four men from the truck parked across the lot got out, they were all armed as well.  All 9 of these men ran towards the two women and the man leaving the store.  By the time I pulled into the parking lot, all I saw were 3 people on the ground getting massacred.  I knew why I was there.
Once again, I don’t know how to explain it.  It was just like an impulse.  I was not afraid.  I did not think about anything.  I got out of my car and walked right into the middle of the scuffle and I heard the voice of the Lord speaking through me, “HEY GUYS WHAT’S GOING ON HERE?”  Almost immediately after I said this, all but one of the assailants ran back to their cars.  One guy was still trying to beat up one of the women, when I walked up to him and he saw me, he fell down.   The woman scurried off and guy beating her got up and eyed me.  He had his hand on his hip like he was about to pull a gun out.  I don’t know if he was armed or not.   That didn’t matter.  At first, we was going to try to get up and come at me, but I looked him straight in the eye and told him to leave.  He immediately shut up and did a double take like he couldn’t believe what I had just told him.  He then started yelling that the woman needed to pay what she owed and he kept yelling obscenities and screaming things about his life and about God, almost like he was making confession to me.  I looked him in the eye and said, “I DON’T CARE.  YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS HERE.  NOW LEAVE.”  At that, he got in the car with the other guys and drove off into the night.
I went to attend to the victims.  They were all relatively fine considering the massive beatdown that had occurred.  One of the women had a tooth knocked out.  The other one was bleeding pretty bad from the nose.  I’m pretty sure her nose was broken.  The man was up and moving gingerly.  I wouldn’t be surprised if he cracked a couple of ribs.  But from the way the mob descended upon them I was surprised that they weren’t dead.  I asked them if they were okay and if they needed any help.  They said that they were fine and said I’d helped enough.  Their only request was that I not call the cops.  What surprised me the most out of all of it, was that despite the late hour, there was a crowd of people that had just been standing outside the gas station watching these three people get beat up, and no one did or was going to do a thing about it.
What I want to draw out of this testimony is that in my obedience, in following the voice of the Lord, I was preserved and so was everybody involved.  They were armed, I was not.  Yet, no violence occurred to me, and any other violence occurring immediately ceased.  I didn’t need a gun.  I didn’t even need to attempt to defend myself.  2nd Amendment yes or no is trivial if sons and daughters of God are not operating in dominion and authoritative power, thereby executing the mandates of heaven upon the earth.  Guns or no guns, the word of the Lord and His corporate residence within you trumps everything else.  It is our trust in God, rooted and founded upon pure and true love, that is our protection and provision.  It is not some law, rule or regulation.  It is not even some inanimate object or war machine.  It is not even the U.S. Government.   Love each other and you’ll see what The Father sees about you.
